Hi I was going to buy a 770 gigabyte 4gb few days ago but it was out of stock. Now after looking around I'm thinking to go for the 780 gigabyte 3gb. i play at 1080p and i don't overclock. The important thing is to future proof my gaming pc as much as I can.at the moment i have a 460 1gb palit and is showing it's age in some game, my 460 lasted nearly 3 years so by getting a 770 or 780 i should be able to pull 4 years .i Know that the 780 is more powerful but is has 1 gb less and is 80 pound more expensive so I'm not sure is worth, also I'm not sure my current power supply can run the 780, the model is fsp600-80enp and is 600w 80 plus.

pc spec
I7 2600
4gb samsung 1333mhz
asus sabethooth z(something)

First FSP are decent makers so as long as the existing PSU has the correct PCI-E leads it'll be fine.
If you're aiming long term the GTX780 is your best bet and 3Gb is going to be plenty of memory for a long time to come.
You're giving prices in Pounds...If you're in the UK you should also look at the R9 290 (GTX780 equal) or R9 280 (GTX770 equal), over here AMD prices are not as inflated as they are in some other countries.
Nice UK places to spend some time: Aria, Dabs, Novatech, CCL, Overclockers, Ebuyer, Pixmania and Scan.

Get the 780.4gb is overkill if you are playing on a single moniter.3gb is more than enough for a single monitor in fact 3gb is also enough for 2 monitors but not more than that. The 780 should last you 3 years, not sure about 4 years but it will last you a long time.Get the 780 you will enjoy it :)

If your going to get an nvidia card the gtx 780 offers the best value right now depending on where your buying from, The Price on a GTX 780 is around $500-$550 and most of them have been known to overclock very well if that is your thing. I got a PNY gtx 770 on sale last summer and I really should have saved up for a 780 or waited till the 780 had it's price drop last fall. The R9 series GPU's do not make any sense to buy right now becuase of the ridiculous prices due to "coin mining" even though the 290 an 290x are really quite powerful they are not priced for gamers as of late. The 780's 3gb of memory is enough to play any game at 1080p and 1440p and has the power to run quite smooth. The gtx 7704gb is not as value oriented as the 770 2gb as they offer the same performance at 1080p. I hope this is somewhat helpful
