So I have been building this computer for maybe 2 weeks now and I'm getting to the point of buying. Some of the things I'm questioning though is should I keep the 780 or get a 770 4gb for a little less and save some money.

General help/improvement. And anyway I can cut back on cost a little without affecting performance.

Solution
it is a revision of your build, with better price/performance parts selection

btw i doubt you need i7 4770K anyway. but since the title stated ultimate build, i didnt change it
pls consider getting i5 4670K
cheaper mobo, better ram
new corsair H105
better SSD
850W Gold for future SLI

That's totally up to you. If you have the money, there's nothing like a 780. Performance wise its pretty close to the TITAN without paying the premium..

Everything else in that build is good. However as the build is overclocking ready I'd like to see a good cpu cooler, Either Noctua NH-D14 or corsair H100i.

Yeah I'm sticking with 780. I was actually probs going to downgrade to regular corsair vengeance and save 10-15 dollars.

As for that I would almost agree with you, but I love asus quality asrock is sub-par at best. Msi is a joke. I have a gigabyte right now and I'm looking for a change.

Also I dont have a cpu cooler because I wont be buying one with it. I know all your nerd flags are like "WOW dont be stupid!" But hold on baby birds ill feed you with my answer. Im going to be upgrading to open loop watercooling in a couple months.

The memory on yours amd radeon does not work the best with haswell 1.5v memory is more compatible and wont be bottlenecked.

Also Im buying everything from amazon so lets try and keep prices and standpoint amazon specific.

Explain why a gigabyte gtx 780 is something I should get over a EVGA who I know makes quality cards and I might consider it.

I probs wont get OCZ they have issues. plus the samsung evo is cheaper.

I dont know about the XFX PSU Ill do some research.

blu ray drive? biggest waste of 55 dollars on your list.

Btw if it sounds like I'm bashing anyone at all, it's because your suggesting new parts but not why I should replace the parts.

Also as stubborn as I may seem I will consider things. I'm actually considering a gigabyte motherboard again. Kind of sickens me to be honest. Or if someone can prove or show some evidence that asrocks arent crap.
