I have a i5 3330 and was thinking about upgrading, What would be the best CPU and motherboard for gaming in the 400-500 euro range

do you play a lot of RTS or similar games, like Starcraft II, the Total War series, Civ V, etc.? yes? maybe an OCed i7-4770K + decent Z87 motherboard.

no? nothing really, REALLY worth the cash for most games, especially if you don't OC. you're likely to see better gains with a GPU upgrade in most FPS or 3rd person action/adventure. or save it up for a year or two; by then maybe there'd be something worth upgrading to. maybe.

I heard about the new CPUs and RAM, I play a bit of everything, mainly FPS but I don't play RTS at all really, I played a bit of CIV 5 and I never have trouble with FPS, I have a 780 so on your advice I think i'll wait thanks
