Upgrading from non-EVO CM212 single fan on OC'ed2500k

hey folks, im sitting at a simple 4.5ghz clockrate on my precious 2500k with a coolermaster hyper 212 (non EVO) stock single fan.
under long periods of load i see temps creep slowly towards 70c and case cooling isnt the problem, nor how its mounted or even my application of AS5 TIM.

so, suggestions for a better cooler? i'd dearly like to keep it at/under USD $50, though $75 (maximum upper limit) may be possible depending on the wifes mood when i order :)

im not worried about installation difficulty or even noise to a point (no Vantec Tornado fans please), however my case isnt easily opened to check for leaks from a watercooling setup due to its orientation. so while im pretty iffy about sealed water coolers, i wont count that option out completely (though it may take convincing)

I wouldn't get a liquid cooler unless it has a 240mm radiator and those are about $100. The best cooler you can get for $50 is probably the phanteks PH-TC12DX.

indeed. that tc12dx you suggested seems to perform better than my hyper212 in the reviews ive read about it thus far, granted it hasnt been tested on a 2500k (granted, a 2600k and 3570k among others are close enough)

thanks for you suggestion i'll likely be purchasing it. however, im still open to any other suggestions from other sources
  3. well, i guess since no one else is willing to chime in you get best answer by default
  4. I'll chime in! Haha imo that phanteks is the best you'll get under $50. Phanteks is a really good brand
