Hey guys. I used my pc normally as usual and suddenly it crashed with green pixel blocks. I tried to reboot and everything was normal for 5 minutes. After that it crashed again. I decided to wait before I start it again. I started it and instead of the normal logo and stuff right at the start strange symbols were everywhere (bios etc.). I got to my home menu and the max resolution became 1280x1024. I'm running a 27" monitor and 1920x1080 is my max. And also my fan is working really loud and hard even though I'm not doing anything. Please help.
It's not a gamer pc I only play LoL and games I can run. I got a geforce 9800 GT, I 'll try to update my card now.

Best regards, Dominique

I suspect the graphics card is faulty or it's fan is not running properly (may be clogged up with dust).

It can't be the graphics drivers because you are seeing strange characters from the moment you start it up, and the GeForce graphics drivers don't load until Windows starts to load.

It isn't clogged up with dust because I checked it and it was cleaned a week ago and how does it explain that my resolution is small + I can't see any letters when booting my pc only strange symbols ?

Well I found out a few things. First of all the fan which is so loud is my stock cooling fan on the processor. Secondly, about the resolution, my pc won't recognize my vga thus using the one on the motherboard. Also in the settings it says my vga got the "43 error code".
