Hi guys,

I hope everything is going well with you.

I want to buy a power supply (used) and I am in doubt. I have two options:

- Thermaltake Toughpower 750W (http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_000...);

or

- Corsair TX650 (V2) (I think it's a Seasonic) (http://www.corsair.com/pt/tx650w.html/);

Both of them are used. The Thermaltake maybe is an old technology? It has 4 voltage rails. The Corsair is a improved version of the last TX650 made by Seasonic (I think) and it is a Single Rail power supply.

Right now My rig is: P5E3, E8400, 4x2GB Kingston DDR3 and one HDD. I want to buy I new graphic card, maybe a R9 290X or a HD7950 crossfire.

In the future I want to upgrade my system to a i7 3770k.

Can you give me your opinion please? Which power Supply is more suitable for my system/future system?

Kind regards.

There are reviews for both of them, so lets use those as our basis of comparison
Thermaltake -

Corsair TX750V2(same platform, just slightly larger parts)
http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=...

Both did well, both had good voltage regulation and ripple suppression, but the thermaltake used far cheaper capacitors and is a far older unit, i wouldn't pick one of them up these days, i'd go for the much more recently 650TXV2, it will have seen less use and has a longer expected lifetime to start with.

Hi hunter and thanks for the reply.

But a 650W for a i7 3770k (in the future) and a crossfire of 7950 or a R9 290X (future) is enough?

Regards.
