if to use thermal grease for fx 6300

hi guys,i wanted to if i want to buy and use a thermal grease for the fx6300 with the stock cooler.

I donot intend to overclock.just wanna play games.

if yes or no how can i identify if there us a pre applied thermal grease on the stock cooler
pls help me fast thanks in advance

It's a sure bet that there's thermal grease already applied, there's no way there isn't. When you take off the cooler there should be some residue which looks kind of like old toothpaste.

There is thermal grease already applied to the base of the cooler from the factory :)

There is thermal paste already pre applied on the underside of the stock heatsink. If you want to remove it, I would just use the stock paste for now, run Prime95 to make it hot (thus easier to come off), remove with alcohol, and then replace it using a horizontal line centered in the middle of the processor's heat spreader.
