I brought my old power supply that I used for a month to my friend's house and used it to replace his old psu. His old psu didn't have enough cords for a new graphics card. When I installed the new graphics card, I did so on carpet because his apartment lacks any hard floor (regrettably) Installation went smoothly, so I thought, but when I had everything plugged in and I turned it on, there was a big pop noise and nothing would start. I put the old one back in and it still wouldn't turn on. Neither of us smelled any burning. I feel horrible because of this, he isn't the richest guy so it isn't easy for him to replace parts. What is the most likely part to be broken?
The new power supply is a Corsair TX650.
