my psu is making a whining noise whilst gaming

My specs are i7 3770k at stock speed, 8gb of corsair 1600mhz ram, EVGA gtx 760, msi g41-a mobo and a corsair 600w psu, when I play games like csgo and ksp my psu sounds normal but as soon as I play something like dayz or BF4 my psu makes a high pitch whineing noise going up and down. Should I avoid these games or just ignore the whining?

Yes coil whine is a common issue. Most good brands will repair/replace a PSU with coil whine.

Call corsair, they will probably fix you up if it bothers you.

That said, I don't think the coil whine necessarily means you got a defective unit.
