Respected Members - forgive me for asking this question as this has been asked many times. I am posting this question here because I havent been able to find the correct answer for my needs yet.

I have never built a computer before (have always bought branded laptops and desktops). This time I want to build a system myself I need your help for that. Below are my requirements

1. I want to create professional youtube videos, software that I will be using for editing is lightworks.

2. I will also be creating/editing music using Magix music maker.

3. I am not at all into gaming so doesnt need anything specific for gaming.

4. I would like to use intel processors instead of AMD, budget is not a constraint for me but I dont want to buy something that I dont need.

5. Another purpose of this workstation is to use it for regular home use/photo editing, remote office connection.

6. I would like to build this system with parts which are compatible for future upgrades.

Kindly suggest me what parts should I go for, I am totally inexperienced in computer builds, I wouldn't even know which case should I buy for the motherboard and cpu that you would be recommending, kindly help with your knowledge and experience.

UPDATE: 02/16/2014 2:45PM EST

I realized that I should have read the guidelines before asking for the advice. Since I have read it now, here is my reformatted question.

Approximate Purchase Date: Within 7 to 10 days

Budget Range: 2000$ can go higher as well up to 3000$

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Video editing/Audio editing/Photo editing/Home usage

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: New build, need to buy every single hardware needed

Do you need to buy OS: No, I have windows 8 as well have windows 7

Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: No preference

Location: City, State/Region, Country - New Jersey, USA

Parts Preferences: Intel

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: Not sure, kindly suggest

Additional Comments: lightworks, Magix music make, adobe photoshop. I would like a quiet PC. Would like to get a motherboard which is better for future upgrades. I would also like to use 2 monitors.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Not upgrading, its a new build.

Well make sure you select best answer to me because you are using my build. Also do you want to discuss the location of the extra case fans in a private message. Also make sure you upload it to pcpartpicker and then share it with us.

EDIT NUMBER 1 I updated the build I will explain where all the case fans are gonna go once I know you are gonna go with my build.

Comparing my build to patrick build

-More ram which is important in video editing
-SLI 780's are completely pointless for video editing, video editing doesnt depend on the graphic card what so ever. The 770 will perform as good as those for video editing.
-More and better storage
-Better case(in my opinion)
-And most importantly, BEAST RED AND BLACK COLOR SCHEME!!!

Thank you very much!!
This motherboard does not support more than 32GB of memory, would you recommend anything that can support more (for the purpose of future upgrade)?

The xeon is more for servers based computers. Really kind of pointless for video editing unless you are gonna do HIGH HIGH end video editing like game developers. In my opinion the i7 is better. Also for the mobo question there is no z87 motherboard that supports up to 64gb ram. There is x79 mobos that support 64gb ram but then you will have to get the extreme edition processors or the i7 4820k or the 4930k. Now I did find a couple of motherboards that were am3+ chipset meaning you would get the 8350. but I highly doubt you need 64gb ram.

Thanks TheMohammadmo once again for your kind help.

I really really wanted to have the ability to be able to upgrade the memory 2 years down the line so that I don't have to buy a new motherboard or CPU at that time. Other than that, I liked every things else that you have mentioned in your built and I am prepared to go with your build. May be its just my lack of knowledge about the hardware and computer builds which is making me to think that the ability to bump up memory down the line may be a good idea. In that case may I ask for yours and other knowledgeable members thoughts, I am ready to dump the idea of 64 GB capable motherboard, I may just need a little education about that :)

Thank you once again, thanks tomshardware.com
