So I built a PC not too long ago with an XFX Radeon 6450 1gb GPU and need an upgrade. I just want the most fps possible. Should I get another 2GB DDR3 6450 or a 1GB GDDR5 Radeon? I have three monitors as well adn, if you could recommend a GDDR5 Radeon card in the $60-$100 Price bracket?

Solution
Yes, you can run a 2nd card fine if you want to have them run the other monitor(s). But don't get the idea the card has enough power to do Eyefinity... even at those lowly resolutions. The HD 6450 is a low end gfx card. Here it is compared to the HD 7750:

And the HD 7750 is not a high-end card.

I've actually forgotten the make and model sorry but, its 550 Watts and has a 6- pin PCI e connector but only one. It's non-modular as well. I can get it to you later I you really need it.

I can't imagine even a cheap 550W that has a PCIe aux cable being too small for that card. You are fine. In fact if finances allow, look into the HD 7750 or 7770 for better gaming than with the HD 6450. What resolution is your display?

Two 1024x768 and one 1680x1050. I'm Looking to run all 3 and can use my 6450 as well if needed. Does gddr5 run shared with gddr3?
