So I finally got around to building my first computer. I went with an asrock extreme 4, i5 4670k, gtx 770, 120gb samsung ssd, and a WD black 1tb operating on windows 7 premium 64bit.

My question is how do I know what drive things are being downloaded on? I want to make sure I am downloading things on the correct drive. I tried to download skyrim and it said i didnt have enough disk space.

Another question is what besides the OS should i be saving to my ssd?

just downloading in general. How the drives are hooked i have them both hooked up to the power wire supplied with my psu. The furthest adapter has my ssd hooked up. and a few adapters below i have my WD connected. Is this hooked up correctly? everything is downloading to my ssd and i havent came across an option to download to a particular drive. (hope this is easy to follow)

See the above links. But in your browser, you can designate a specific download location...except for recent versions of IE....there, select the location/folder, and te next time you d/l something, it defaults to that last place.

Ah. Does it appear in WinExplorer? Maybe not.
Does it appear in the BIOS? Probably.

Open Disk Management.
You should see the drive. Right click on it. What options does it give?
You probably have to set it as Active, and give it a drive letter.

Unfortunately no. All that is showing up is the local disk (c:). When I right click on the local disk and go to the properties, under the hardware tab it is reading that there is two disk drives, yet only one of them is showing up as an option to save on. I have checked to make sure that all the software is up to date and that there is no other updates.

Open Disk Management. Does it show there?
