Trouble with ram-mobo compatibility.

I have the z87-GD65 MSI gaming mobo and I wanted to have 16gb of ram to start off with while being able to upgrade to 32gb in the future should I decide to run video editing software. I've been looking at G.Skill ram and wanted to buy 2 x 8gb sticks for now and buy two more later. However, when i look at MSI's website for compatibility of ram with my mobo, it says the only ram I can use from G.Skill is nearly the same ram I want, but a limit of 4 DIMMs @ 4gb per DIMM. I've become confused by this and I'm not sure what I should get. I've been looking at the RipJaws X and I don't want to have to buy a 4 x 4gb set only to have to replace the entire set down the road for 32gb. Is that even possible?

go to the G. Skill website and use their memory finder program/app. Just tell it your motherboard details and it will display all compatible memory kits they make for it.

Thank you so much! Also, If I bought a set of 2 x 8gb could I simply buy another set of 2 x 8gb later down the road to upgrade my system?
