You should get the FX 8320. You probably will have to cut back on the GPU you buy first just to make it at or under $500.

you can't get a gaming rig for $500. I have given a config, with which you can play games in low or medium settings.
I have selected the Zotac gtx 750 ti because it has a better clock speed and you can buy it for the same price.
