New hdd no discs for pcg71511m , Boots saying no operating system found

Hi there any chance you could help me on this please .
Motherboard has just been replaced/repaired . And new hard disc drive fitted as well all , this item did not come with any drivers or any discs . ok looks fine boots saying operating system not found .i have tryed to load win 7 via net , burned on dvd but still not playing the game. could it be the new hdd is not the same size or bigger in space ,seem to remember seeing somthing along the lines of sony vaio does not like having a bigger drive than its original

look on the side of the pc. look at windows coa sticker. make sure you downloaded from digitail river the right iso image. if not check that you did and then use the microsoft iso to usb tool to make a bootable usb stick. then go into the bios set the usb stick up as the first boot device. on power up if the stick boots fine you see a quick message hit any key to boot from cd. hit any key and then run windows set up.

Hi thanks for that , ok been on digital river site can not find my x16-96072 system option , only x17s are available , would this make a difference . As for patch drive usb stick. system will not recognise any thing ,not able to get into bios at the moment
