I am interested in using one of these case drive bays which are hot-swappable to add some harddrives to my computer directly.
But I'm wondering if the unit itself will introduce latency because it doesn't plug directly into the SATA cable. I understand it may be entirely trivial, but I'm wondering from a theoretical perspective. I'm going to do it anyway as these drives don't require best performance.
