I'm an x-plane fan and want to buy a new computer. Do I get a CyberPower i7-4820 with a gtx 660 2GB
or a CyberPower i7-4930 with a gtx 780 3GB.

The second is more expensive, but may be a better investment and give
a better frame rate and scenery detail.
Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
"X-Plane will take advantage of as many cores or distinct processors as you can afford. Having 16 cores split among 4 CPUs is not required by any means, but Version 10 would be able to use every one. No more than 4 GB of RAM is necessary, but the more VRAM you have, the better–X-Plane 10 can easily use 1.5 GB of VRAM at the maximum settings."

That would lead me to believe it's a very CPU dependant game and the 4820k might be a better benefit over a GPU.

If the goal of the PC is X-plane and Xplane only, the 780 seems overkill.

TLDR version

Neither X-Plane nor Microsoft Flight Simulator X require CF / SLI or high-end graphics horsepower, however, as I've explained in many threads, frame rate scales with the number of CPU cores and clock rates, so a high overclock produces the best frame rates.

"Unlike most "gaming" titles, X-Plane as well as FSX is a "simulation" which is very heavily CPU bound, but very lightly GPU bound. As such, frame rates do not respond to SLI or CF configurations. Furthermore, since these simulations perform better with nVidia drivers, any mid-range nVidia based graphics card works well, which is why X-Plane recommends a single GTX-660."
