Hello,

I am experiencing an 99 error code on the motherboard LED when attempting to boot up the system. I am attempting to use the onboard video card hooked up via DVI.

I've tried using several keyboards, updating the bios via USB drive & flash button, using a PCI-E video card etc. Can't seem to get the system to display video or get to the bios. This is the 2nd motherboard that I got the error with. I have confirmed the ram works on another PC. Tried every RAM slot with 1 and 2 Dimm chips etc. I have disconnected all drives for now.

What could be causing this error? What should I check next? any known issues with my components and the board?

Here are the main components being used.

Intel 4770k
Ballistix Elite 16GB DDR3-1866 (PC3-15000) CL9 Desktop Memory Kit
CX Series CX750M 750 Watt ATX Modular Power Supply
Samsung Evo SSD Drive

i'm sorry you did state that in the OP.

still have you tried to reflash again? sometimes the first doesn't always "take." i am thinking you reset the BIOS, either jumper/button or removing the battery. tried breadboarding?

other than that - i am sorry you are having a run of bad luck.

breadboarding is taking everything out of the case and having the cpu & heatsink, 1 stick of RAM in the farthest slot from the cpu socket, connecting the monitor to the motherboard's video out and power supply hooked up on a non conductive surface like wood.

use a small screwdriver or paper clip to touch the two PWR_ON pins for a second to boot up after turning the PSU back on
(switch in the back).
