I was looking at the specs for AMD's FX-6200 as well as the FX-6300 and it seems the 6200 has an un-overclocked frequency of 3.8 GHz, where as the 6300 has an un-overclocked speed of 3.5 GHz.

So my question is, does this mean the FX-6200 is a little better for gaming, because a little higher speed?

A little side-question... according to the amd site, both can be overclocked to the same 4.1 GHz... so if im going to overclock either of them to 4.1 GHz, does it really matter what the original speed was? Also, will the cooling system that comes with the CPU cool it enough for overclocking?

Thank you.

The 6200 is not better for gaming. Clock speed is somewhat irrelevant since the processors are based off of different architectures. Definitely go with the 6300.
You could overclock way passed 4.1 if you have a decent cooler.
No I would not try to overclock with the stock cooler. The one that comes with those processors is sub-par at best. Pick up a CM Hyper 212 evo. That's the best/cheapest option for beginner overclockers.
