Ok I need a graphics card for playing time lapses and occasional photoshop and hd video.

get HD 7750, it's better than both for 100 bucks.

Out of those you have specified, gt640 is the superior graphics card between those 2. But still i would like you to consider the HD7750, if you can afford it.
