Any suggestions would be helpful...

Here is what I am thinking for my first build:

Purpose is for gaming mostly - want it to run everything out now and for the next couple years...

Processor: i5 - 4670k haswell - never overclocked before but seemed reasonable price wise if I ever decided to try it..... Still considering not messing with overclocking and getting the i5 4670 - which I think would affect my mobo selection - please advise.....

Motherboard: Not sure - suggestions?

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 SC 2GB GDDR5 256 -Bit Dual BIOS Dual-Link DVI-I/DVI-D HDMI DP SLI Ready Graphics Cards with ACX Cooler 02G-P4-2776-KR

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz

PSU: Corsair CX Series 600 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Bronze ATX12V/EPS12V 552 Power Supply CX600M

HDD: Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Single Unit Version Internal Solid State Drive MZ-7TE250BW

Monitor: ASUS VG248QE 24"

Case: Corsair Graphite Series 230T CC-9011042-WW Black on Black with RED LED fans ATX Mid Tower Side Panel Window

Any Upgrade/downgrade suggestions would be helpful.... Thanks!

I would either get the ASRock Z87 Falat1y or the Asus Z87-A. Both are good for overclocking and close to your budget.

If you can, invest in a better PSU. The CX series is OK but there are better. TX or the HX series are better if you stick with Corsair. If not a Seasonic S12II 620.

this if you're just looking for a modest OC, or

this if you wanna try pushing it a bit more.

both come with SLI support. speaking of which, you may want to invest on a 750W PSU if you're planning to SLI two 770. also, i wouldn't go for Corsair's CX series, not with your budget. tier 2 offers a great balance of budget and quality: http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx
