Hi,

I'm getting cheesed off with buying over-priced and short-lasting compressed air for cleacing inside my PC and recently thought about getting one of these Metro-vacuums:

http://www.amazon.com/Metro-Vacuum-ED500-500-Watt-Electric/dp/B001J4ZOAW/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1392608344&sr=1-1&keywords=datavac

I'm well aware that the static from using a vacuum is deadly to components, but a lot of places seem to recommend these for cleaning computers.

Has anyone been using one of these or does anyone have any advice on whether I should get one of these for cleaning my PC?

Thanks

As per your pic, it's for cleaning external computer gear, not inside a PC case. In any case, apart from the danger of static, it wouldn't be anywhere near as efficient as compressed air through a straw directed precisely where it's needed.

I buy mine from Amazon in a four-pack, good value for money and very efficient. These are the ones I buy:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Duster-Compressed-Flammable-400ml/dp/B000O1HRHE/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1392642309&sr=1-1&keywords=5+star+air+duster

The Star Duster Compressed Air cans are great

Thanks terry. I just got one of those rockets.. amazed at the air it kicks out. Will probably need a new solution for deeps cleans, but for week to week cleaning this thing is absolutely brilliant.
