EVGA GTX 770 ACX SC too hot?

I have two gtx 770s running in sli. One is a 770 acx sc and the other is a 770 acx ftw. The ftw's bios is flashed so that the core and boost clocks run at the same speed as the sc's. During gameplay (Battlefield 4, Titanfall beta, Crysis 3) the sc card gets up to 80c on some occasions. The ftw edition only gets up to 60c. When you put your hand next to the superclocked card you can feel that it is pushing out a lot more heat, so this is not an issue with thermal paste or heat transfer. Right now i have a cooler master haf xm with a 200mm pulling from the front. a 200mm pulling from the side, a 120 mm pulling from the back, and 2 140mms pushing out the top where the radiator for my cpu is mounted. The positive pressure in the case pushes out more heat than when it had negative pressure and temps are generally lower so its not an airflow issue. The fans on both gpu's are set to 90%. What could be the issue. Evga precision x boosts the ftw to 1188mhz and the sc top 1241mhz. Could this be the issue? I simply dont like the temps getting that high. When i run benchmarks the sc gets up to 90c and the ftw stays at around 65. Is my sc card defective?

Only the reference cards with the blower pushes air out the back. The acx cards disperse air from the sides into the case. I'm fine with the FTW editions temps, but why would the SC be so drastically different? And iv tried 100%, doesnt make any difference.

GTX 770 FTW w/ ACX Cooler
GTX 770 Superclocked w/ ACX Cooler

Keep in mind that the superclocked is the card im worried about. Also bear in mind that the FTW's bios is flashed so that it mimics the core and boost clocks of the superclocked edition. Both of these cards have 2gigs of vram.
