I recently bought a Seasonic platinum 860w. I noticed that it emits a faint hum, even when its fan is off (but not when the computer is off). This hum is very quiet, and I can only hear it when I put my ear close to the PSU while my case is open. I'd expect to hear this kind of noise coming from a cable box or other electronic equipment, but I'm not sure if it's expected from a PSU, especially one so expensive. Any insights?
