i3 3220 vs Fx 6300 for gaming

I am building a rig for gaming.these are the following parts that i have to purchase.I didn't get that when people compare i3 3220(only two cores) with Fx 6300 (6 cores).people why compare i3 and fx 6300 for gaming.just because it has same price segment.So, people should i buy this rig or should i buy this with a i3 3220 with a new motherboard.

Cpu - fx 6300 - 7.3k
Mobo - gigabyte 970a ds3 - 5.3k
Ram - kingston hyperx blue /gskill ripjawsx /corsair vengeance 4gb - 2.8k
Gfx - Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon R9 270 with Boost OC 2GB DDR5 Graphics Card

psu - a 550 wt
local cabinet - 0.7k- get a good cabinet like betfenix merc alpha later.
monitor - dell s2240l -8.6k

The i3 will win in some games, but I'd take the FX 6300 as it would be faster more times than not.

if you want to playing the current-gen game go along with i3... but, if you want to playing the next-gen game go along with fx6300... fx6300 is faster than i3 but why does get lower framerate on fx6300 over i3??? because most of current-gen game hasnt great optimization yet for over 4 core processor... but, your no longer need worry that issue for next-gen game because it will take advantage of multicore processor...
