I am completely out of ideas so anything will help. I cannot play any online games without consisten lag spikes.

However, when running any speed test, my internet shows up perfectly fine (28dl/5ul). I have had 4 technicians at my house that have redone all of the wiring outside of my house and set up a new box. I have gone through 2 modems and 3 routers. Nothing solves the problem. My computer is hardwired to the router (have also tried hardwiring to modem). Cannot switch to Verizon Fios because apparently they aren't in the area.

I hear Uverse is worse and we have Comcast for cable so we save money with them. I will settle for even the slightest bit of advice.

Possibly this is a problem with your computer? network adapter? Also do not get Uverse, they have one line for your internet/cable/phone which is horrible. Comcast on the other hand has dedicated lines which is overall better.

from what I can tell because I had this problem before, I'm just taking a wild guess but both you guys probably have comcast's modem router where it is a cable modem and a wireless. My past experience is that there is a fault in that new modem (i might be wrong on this but) it can't receive and send signals that great at the same time. From what I did last time was ask them for a new docsis 3.0 router, and while they were sending that to me, i linked up my cisco router to comcast's modem router and it worked fine. For me the problem is just comcast's router and only if wireless, everything else worked fine.

I'm having similair issues. I talked to a comcast tech specialist for a while, he did a factory reset on my modem and everything. I've cleared cookies, flushed DNS, and renewed ip. My speedtest shows 10ms 58mbps down & 12 up. But when I get in teamspeak3, my latency spikes from 75-220ms. CS:GO servers spike anywhere from 15 to 70+. The bullet registry is off and I'm teleporting back 10 steps.

Im running windows7 and a wireless gateway comcast modem/router.
