pop up blocker not stopping popups

i have popup blocker turned on in windows security centre.
also have ad block plus popup addon installed in firefox.
am still getting annoying popup windows adverts opening up,more than ever.
any idea why this is happening?and how to fix it please?

hello, this sounds like a problem possibly caused by malware on your pc. please go tofirefox > addons > extensions& remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like adblock

Nope not malware it is due to the fact the firefox updated it self to the latest version and that is the reason way the ad blocker is no longer working i know this be cause i use the same kinda ad block this person is.

But after you fix your firefox i would run a malwarebytes scan just to make sure.

am using firefox 27,have reinstalled it,then reinstalled
Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon,seems to be working like it should do now,will turn off the auto update in firefox as well now.
