hi everyone

i finally decided to upgrade my gpu (hd3870) with a gtx 760 (i think i'll go with a msi or a gygabite).

Will this upgrade be totally bottlenecked by my CPU (i5 750 Lynnfield) ?

The second question is linked to this argument: I'm looking for a good cooler that would eventually help me bringing my cpu arround 4 Ghz (i have hifgh profile ram, DDR3 dominator). Wich one do you suggest?

Tanks you guys!

The processor is pretty old now. It's looking pretty out of date and doesn't use much current day tech. Most i5's or i7's use 22nm Tech. This processor uses 45nm. It is a quad core and has a pretty decent operating frequency. I do think that it won't bottleneck that much (if any) though. I use an EVGA GTX 770 Sc, so there's not too much difference and I highly recommend the card. I think you'll do just fine for the time being.

I agree, I don't think it would hurt you that bad. Overclocking would help. You may have a performance hit when it comes to games that need a strong CPU. You should think about upgrading in the over the next year if you want to continue to play games on High/Ultra.
