First I just want to say, I don't know if this question have been asked. But I couldn't find any thing on it.. Anyway

I got a Asus N76V Laptop with i7, 750gb hdd, 8gbram, GT 650M. It's a ''okay'' computer, but I was wondering if it could get better. My hopes/dreams is to install a 250gb ssd to have system and programs on and still have the hdd for storing, and give it 8gb more ram so it get 16gb.

Is this something that is possible? Or maybe you guys got some better solutions?

Thanks for the help!

Your laptop gives you expansion up to 16 GB SDRAM for memory, so that won't be a problem for you. You just have to add another 8gb of SDRAM to RAM slot of your laptop and you are done with that.
For installation of ssd, the slots of ssd and hdd are same, so it shouldn’t matter what slot the SSD is plugged into. But it's better to have the SSD plugged into the primary slot(the one your HDD is using now) and make sure your laptop has got extra space for to place your ssd(In most cases you have to replace your hdd with ssd). If ssd is installed with hdd, I suggest on reinstalling your OS instead of migrating/mirroring it from a HDD, that would be the best way for you to get optimum speed from your ssd. It may take longer, but it is worth...
