All my Memory being cached within 5 mins of startup?!?!

I'm running Windows 7 home premium 64bit
16gb of Viper Ram

When i bootup windows half of my ram is always cached, And when i go to play a game My game stops responding and i check Task Manager showing i have like 5 physical memory Free

Any solution to this problem??

Start menu -> Right click "My computer" -> Properties -> Advanced system settings -> Advanced -> In Performance "Settinga" -> Advanced -> cirtual memory -> Change -> Set initial size 1024 and maximum size 1024 also.. The pagefile will be 1024 total, plenty enough for a >8GB RAM system. REBOOT and see how it goes.

I'm running 16gb

And What does this do exactly? will it keep my Free Physical memory at a Constant 1024?

Also i only have Advanced -> Virtual memory -> change

What values have you got there?

It will create a pagefile with a constant size. Normally if its windows default enabled he automatically calculates a value. However if u have any malware in your machine that exploits this it will consume all RAM that he can get :]

Speaking of that.. run malware bytes and scan for any malware u might have.... or run a antivirus AVG looks good enough for freeware. Just to make sure you're clean.

I havn't got any values atm , it's on Automatic Manage

And i've ran Malware bytes (i've got pro version) And i'm running Bitdefender Pro also

I'm running like google Chrome atm and It says i have 5mb free and it's fluctuating between 0 and 10.

this is what's comeing up on my Resource Monitor

But when i run a game say.... "Aion" it will drop my FREE to about 0-20 Causing my Game to Not Respond at times.

I think you are misunderstanding what Standby memory is. It is more likely your computer is crashing from some other source.

Windows 7 DOES release standby memory anytime it is needed by an application. What you don't have available for your game is Hardware Reserved memory, In Use memory, and Modified memory. Standby is basically what is being used by Superfetch and Cache in order to make best use of your RAM. If your game is needing more memory, Windows will immediately dump the oldest item in standby and give your game that memory.

If your game is crashing, then make sure your game is Windows 7 compatible. Some older games don't play well with memory, and thus are not fully compatible with Windows 7. You may have to run it in a compatibility mode. Can't say for sure, since you didn't tell us what the game is.

HDD? as in harddrive disk?

Idk i'm kinda suspicious of my Hardrive Failing i've had this computer for 4 years and that's the only thing i Havn't replaced

and when u say 16meg, You mean 16,000?

HDD yes, it the hard drive.
It could be that because you set the virtual as automatic, that it is paging in and out for the HDD. By setting it to a set small amount, it would force it to only use the RAM.
And if and only if you getting running out of virtual memory error, then set it higher. I have my set at 16MB and never have any issue, but it depend on the apps/games.

and when u say 16meg, You mean 16,000
No, it should be just 16

Alright ill give it a try After Malwarebytes is finished Scanning

Also if i do plan on getting a new HDD is their a way to take my OS off the other and put it on that without haveing to boot through bios with CD-ROM exc...
