Hi,

when do you think /know this case will be available ?
I kinda like the fact that it's a modern take on the FT02 without the zillions of mostly useless 5.25, 3.5 enclosures, but still keeping the bottom to top venting and a thin DVD drive...

What do you think about it ?
How good/bad is silverstone in general ?

Solution
Mid way into this year maybe. Silverstone is normally fast to get new cases out.

I have both the SG05 and FT03. They both get the job done.

It is important to know that the FT03 is a bit low on air flow for a fully loaded system(not to say you can not build a powerful system in it, it just does not have the air flow of some other cases). the SG05 because it is a SFF case does not have too much space, but again, with some mods(if you need more drives) gets the job done very well.

The FT05 is a n interesting idea. One thing I can tell you about bottom to top cooling is if you have too much dust in the area, it seems to collect quite a bit more than normal front to back cooling. I have high hopes for the new design(they seem to lift it...

It is also important to know you get what you pay for. So the rather inexpensive SG05 does not have the thickest panels or anything like that. The FT03 has thick panels, but they are not screwed in(help in 4 places with slots on the sides and tabs on the front[the back or what would be the bottom of a normal case is screwed in]), so you have to watch it a bit more.

Thanks for the answer...
I'm looking into a x79 or x99 if available by then, 2 physical HDDs, 1 SSD, 2 GPus... that's it...
No Water Cooling.

Apparently, the FT 05 will be available in July (based on Silverstone's rep in EU)... SO I guess I have to wait a bit more :)

This in turn will probably make me wait for any high end Maxwell GPU and X99, if it ends up being worth it...

Yes it looks like that :)

Can't wait for the GTX 980 to be out...

slowly started buying up the new components... began with the mouse and keyboard (Das Keyboard 4 and Steelseries sensei wireless).
