Problem with Monitor with build in speakers.

I am asking this for a friend.

Well firstly, he has a very old graphics card that could be 7100 - 7500 GS. He just changed to a new motherboard and before that, he also reinstalled Windows. Before all of these changes, he was always possible to play sound through his monitor via HDMI cable. But now, after the changes, he could not.

Any solutions to this?

Did he change the settings on the sound to Digital HDMI? Also on Nvidia drivers there is a sound driver was that installed? Just a couple of things to check. If you have a set of speakers, attach them to the output on the MB and see if any sound is there. If not, make sure the drivers are up to date on the MB.

Drivers all are installed. I'll ask him about the sound settings.
