This just recently started happening on my 4 month old machine.
Whenever I start up any game the screen will just turn off and any sound that was playing will continue to play and I cannot alt tab , all I can do is turn my computer off.
I also tried to go into my bios ( MSI Z87 MPOWER motherboard ) which has a graphic interface and it also caused the black screen to come up.
I have a Gigabye windforce radeon 280X which is only 4 months old.
The power supply im using in my computer however was recyled from my old pc and is a good few years old.
