Computer dies when cold

I have been having a problem with my computer randomly shutting off for no reason, as if the power cord had been pulled. For the longest time I thought that it was random, but recently I recorded when it would happen. I found that it only occurs when I have a window open letting in the very cold upstate New York air. To really test this I kept all of my windows closed this past weekend and my computer was fine, yet when I opened a window Sunday night, within 5 minutes my computer was dead again.

The really weird part of this is that when it finally turns back on again, the power button has no effect on it when it shuts off. I have to wait until it comes back to life on its own schedule. When it finally does, I see the boot screen, like if this was the first time I had ever powered the machine on. It asks me to configure my MB to how I would like and whatnot, then goes into the windows startup screen like normal.

So does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Also here is my parts list:
Here's my parts list:
MB ASUS B85M-G LGA1150
VC EVGA GTX 770 4GB
PSU EVGA 750W-Gold
CPU INTEL CORE I7 4770K 3.5G 8M
MEM 4GBx4 GSKILL 16GB-DDR3-1600
HD 1T WD SATAIII

Does it get cold enough to cause condensation (close to freezing point) on the motherboard or other components? Since your computer starts for 5 minutes and then shutdown, it can't be the CPU as it warms up very quickly. I carefully read your original post again and it sure sounds like a motherboard issue. When it shuts down and won't start again, how long does it take to start again? Everything you described sounds like a motherboard that's cracked or is shorting out to the case. I'd test it outside of the case to see if the issue continues.
I'd suspect a motherboard issue because it's the part that suffers the most from temperature changes (expansion/retraction). I would check to make sure it doesn't short with a POST or test it outside of the case to see if you still have the issue. The Intel processor may not work at a very low temperature, but you probably wouldn't stay in a room that cold either.

when the windows are closed the temps range from the low 70's to mid 80's. I sadly have no control over my room's temperature, its set for the entire building. When the windows are open, because outside temps are 20 or below on a regular basis (right now its 8) the inside temps dip down to the mid 40's, possibly lower.
