I am currently running windows vista 32bit os and want to upgrade to windows 8 64bit os. I got 4GB of ram (want to increase but need 64bit os). I heard that my processor might not be capable of it but i do not know enough about processors but this is what my computer says it is:

Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2220 @ 2.40GHz 2.40GH.z

I do not really know what that means?:??:? So will i be able to run a 64bit os???

(lastly i know there is alot of hate for windows 8 but i got my reasons so please no comments on how bad windows 8 is)

Well, you should already be running 64-bit :) but yea, i suppose you'd be able to handle it, with the windows 8 (i'd go 8.1) but windows 8 should help optimize and you'd get something efficent :) what MOBO are you using? you could upgrade your CPU if you could

Yes it is 64-bit, but WIN 8 64 might be a bit sluggish with an older processor such as that one. Just GOOG your proc and you'll find out everything you need to know.
