Asus charger won't make contact with port, battery will not charge.

I am having problems charging my Asus laptop. The only way I can charge my Asus laptop is if I turn my laptop on it's side and place a heavy book on top, or I can hold the plug in the port very firmly at a sideways angle. How do I solve this problem? Asus laptops do not seem to be held together very well.

Hi, can you determine if it's the cable from the adapter or the dc jack inside the laptop. Hold the end of the adapter near the jack and move the wire, or move the end of the adapter inside the jack. The problem is either the cable or the jack, if it's the jack, it need to be resolder or changed.
