Im getting the amd 6300 black edition cpu and im also getting the gtx 660. my question is will the setup work or witll the 660 bottleneck the amd 6300?

yes your system will work perfectly without any hiccups and there would no bottleneck neither from cpu nor from graphics card. You are good with them :)

There is one board http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_990FXGEN3_R...
but you don't need to pay extra on something that you don't really need. Although, PCI-E 2.0 x16 is more than enough for every card.

you don't need to worry about that. GTX 660 is backward compatibility with PCIE 2.0 and it will work fine on your motherboard.

AMD chips don't support PCI-e 3.0..the motherboard maybe "ready" but 3.0 just isntt going to be used, not that its an issue because you wont see any real benefit from pci-e 3.0. You would have to go with an Intel setup for pci-e 3.0 sandybridge-e chips and newer support it.
