I ordered some new RAM on Saturday because I wanted to expand my pc memory to 4 gb but when I put it it I doesn't boot up It just beeps
My specs
Intel (Love Valley P) P965 Viiv Motherboard R0
intel core 2 duo e6400 2.13ghz
NVidia GeForce 9400 gt
2gb pc2 4200 533 sdram

Three beeps is most cases denotes to the memory being defective. So that's what I think. You will have to RMA it and get a new one or buy from trusted vendors like Newegg, kingston, memorystock.com etc

Could you let me know the specifications of the new memory? Also could you let me know the number of beeps you hear?
