I recently installed a Cooler Master Hyper N520 heat sink on my computer. It's got a push/pull fan setup with 2 3-pin 92mm fans, both of which are connected to the same motherboard slot by a splitter, so they should be receiving the same voltage/running at the same speed. The "push" fan, however, is making a low-pitched humming noise that the "pull" fan is not. I tried replacing the push fan, but the new one encountered the same problem? A friend suggested the push fan is working harder (moving still air vs. moving flowing air), but shouldn't both fans be moving at the same speed, regardless of airflow?
