Would it be possible to install windows nt 4.0 on Dell Latitude D830

Solution
More than likely you will find that there is no driver support for that equipment on such an old operating system. It might make more sense to use a modern operating system which supports your hardware, then if you really need to run NT 4, run it in a virtual machine.

Microsoft provides Virtual PC for free, and it supports Windows 7 - Windows XP:

If you are running Windows 8.x you have Hyper-V built-in, provided your hardware supports the necessary features.

Your CPU should support Intel's VT (Virtualization technology.)
