My specs are as follows;
I5 3570k
Kingston Hyper X 4gb (x2)
Corsair GS 800
Asrock z77 Extreme 4
OCZ Petrol SSD

I have tried everything I could find on the internet and manual etc. I've tested the graphics card on another system with identical motherboard and processor, on which it worked, and I have tested an AMD GPU that I know works in my computer because it works in the other system, but it didn't work. When I turn the device on, with the HDMI plugged into the GTX 770 DirectCU II, there is nothing on the display, but there is not a "No signal" message from my screen. Both the 6 pin and 8 pin PCI power plugs are in and there are two green lights on the GPU and the fans spin. so the power is not the problem. I then assumed it was a motherboard fault so I got a new identical board (thank god for warranty) and tried again with both the GTX 770 and the GeForce 210, and neither work, I have tried updating bios and fiddling with bios settings. When I go into the bios and select "System Information" which displays a picture of the motherboard and everything plugged into it. It displays that my RAM is there, my processor, but claims all my PCI Express and PCI slots are empty. Just to clarify incase I didn't explain well, I know the GPU is not the problem (proven by my testing) and I just got a new motherboard today. One thing I did notice that was strange was the GeForce 210 doesn't need power from a PCI cable and is just plugged into the PCI Express socket, and the fan runs.

EDIT: I've tried unplugging all sata devices, to no avail. However, one thing that I have noticed that was interesting was if I turned the computer on whilst the HDMI cable is plugged into the GPU, when I put the HDMI into the motherboard HDMI socket, it doesn't give a display, and I have to reboot to get signal from the integrated graphics; so I assume that the Motherboard is recognizing the GPU and disabling onboard graphics, but not realizing that the GPU isn't working..

Any help would be much appreciated.

Make sure you have plugged card in Top most pcie slot.
Make sure its properly seated in the pcie slot.
Try chaning it to the bottom most pcie slot.
I hope your display is plugged into the gpu and not on the onboard gpu.
Clear CMOS after every try. (press and release the CLR CMOS button at the back of your casing/mobo)

Have you resolved this issue? I did a first time build last night and have the same issue. Booted fine several times to install other peripheral drivers, then when I got to installing the GTX drivers I realised the system hadnt been recognising the card. Thought it just needed to restart since I had updated quite a few drivers in rapid succession but then dr debug gave a "IDE Detect" error and would display nothing. Removed the card and works fine.
At my wits end and hoping this is easily resolved....

I'm having the same problem as you. When I enter the BIOS and enter the System Browser and scroll over the PCIe slot I have the graphics card in the motherboard claims that nothing is there. I am at my wits end here

I actually got mine working!
I updated the bios using the option that allows you to update it from within Windows. When the update program finished it prompted me to reboot the system. During the reboot I pressed f2 to enter the bios because I wanted to confirm that the bios had indeed been updated and when I checked the system browser it was then detecting the gtx card.

I went ahead and tried that myself, but no luck.
