Are soft brushes ESD prone?

I used a soft brush dipped in isophyoric alcohol to clean my cpu pins and i just want to know if it could have caused ESD to the cpu pins?

yeah it may have caused.
You should have used compressor instead

Depends on a lot of things, what was the humidity in the room you did this? Did you ground yourself before touching the CPU? Try out the CPU and see if it works...

Room was dry and yes i was grounded, i cant try it yet as i have to build the pc.

I was grounded, i touched the brush before hand to get out the bits of dust etc and the room was pretty dry.
