GTX 580 (Zotac) shuts computer down after fan reaches 100%

I have a GTX 580 and whenever I use it it works smoothly then the fan kicks at 100% and shuts my PC off. I have also tried my GTX 650 and it works fine and will not shut my PC down. Is there any fix?

the gpu is overheating have you checked cpu and gpu temps on load?

Seems either it is a faulty card or you have overclocked it far too much and broken it

I haven't checked the temps, so it's probably just overheating? I wasn't so sure if it being overheated would shut down the computer

Then it sounds like a faulty card. The fan sounds like it has been damaged.

download "speedfan" to check system temps and no the card isnt faulty if it was it would show artifacts or 3 beeps
