First attempt at building a gaming computer - any good?

I think I'm finally done with consoles and fully converting to computer gaming. So, I'm going to attempt to build my first gaming PC. I primarily like to play RTS, Action/adventure, ArmA style shooters, but also want to make sure I don't build something that can't handle games like Crysis 3 or BF4.

So, here are the parts I was thinking of using. Is this suitable for current games and the foreseeable of next gen titles?

Mobo: Asus M5A99X
CPU: AMD Fx-8320 Vishera 3.5ghz (4.0 turbo) 8-core
GPU: Gigabyte GV-n7600c GeForce GTX 760 4gb GDDR5
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP 240 pin 1866hz 2x4GB
Storage: Samsung 840 Pro 128gn SSD and Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200rpm HDD
Psu: Corsair CX600 80+ bronze (600 watts)
Case: Corsair carbide 200R

I'm also going to put in a blu-Ray player, get a new monitor, and use my old keyboard and mouse and will be running Windows 8.1.

Anything I'm missing? Is this sufficient for current titles to run at highest settings as well as "covering" myself for the coming next-gen titles. I know the latter is difficult to answer since there's no way to know for sure what developers may do 2-3+ years from now.

Thanks in advance!

This build will do what you are looking for. It will be a good pc to game on while also being cheap enough that it wont break the bank. The only thing I can see that you're missing is a cpu cooler. While you may not be able to max out EVERY game, you CAN play every game on at least high settings while still getting good frame rates.

Gtx 760 is an okay card but don't expect miracles out of it if you plan to game at 1920 x 1080p resolutions.

Depends on your monitor and the one you buy.

If you are buying a maximum HD resolution monitor, a GTx 770 is your minimum best bet, or an R9 280x.

Gtx 760 will often be found wanting in games like Crysis 3.

The FX-8320 says it comes with a fan/heat sink. Will that suffice? In either case, what would you recommend?

Thanks guys, this is great info. I'll have to look into the two gpu's mentioned and I'm watch some videos on installing the hyper 212 Evo - seems fairly involved for this noob.

If you can for the same cost go for a gtx 770 2GB, you will get better performance, and the 4GB memory of the card that you chose, isn't really needed. If it saves money I would go with a 1600Hz memory (ram), the higher Hz of the memory will not make your games preform any better.
