I sent my graphics card back as it did not work as there was a black screen when booted which made me think it was faulty.
Now i look does it matter if the card is GDDR5 when it says the motherboard memory is DDR3 ?
Please respond so i know where i am going wrong.
Just to let readers know i have made sure the power supply is ok and as i have already installed it it does have a PCI-E slot in my motherboard.

Solution
no. it does not matter. the GDDR5 on the GPU has no connection whatsoever with the systems' DDR3 memory, and is not the cause of your problem.

Thanks for the fast reply.
I dont know much about the motherboards but now i know this now Thanks.

GDDR5 and DDR3 are completely different technologies. You can't get GDDR5 for your mobo memory slots. But this doesn't matter and is not the cause of your problem because they are running on different busses. The mobo RAM has its own buss connection to the processor and the graphics card, as you noted, is running on the PCI buss.
