Looking for a LGA1150 asus on tiger direct and dont know much about the diffrences between motherboards so asking what is the difference between a normal motherboard and a micro motherboard besides the size, and what would be the best to get if im going to get a i5 and 1 stick of 4gb of ram?

very broad question, Asus are very good boards for that socket and are a great choice, it'll defiantly support one 4GB stick of ram and an i5, all of the LGA 1150 Asus boards will. I would look into a H81 Board or if you wanted a better one a H87 would be even better.

The difference between ATX and Micro ATX, is the features which includes slots (PCI-E), the ATX board will have more and certain ones support SLI/Crossfire whilst micro ATX doesn't. there is a lot more to it but that's just a bit of info.

I would go for this board:

Or for just your needs this board will do exceptionally fine also:

You need to have 2 matching ram modules , so that it runs in dual channel mode.
