Hello everyone, I just found this website and have browsed through a few questions that other members have asked, and I noticed that just about all of them got pretty good answers. So I was wondering if you all could help me out as well. So my question is could I build a really good gaming computer for around $500 - $600 dollars? Some of my friends and my cousin (who is in college for some kind of computer technician class or something) have all told me that I could. But from what I've seen from the answers to the questions I looked at on this website and others have all said that it would cost roughly $1700 - $2000. Is this true? I REALLY don't have that kind of money to spend. So yeah, any suggestions?

PS. Just a few game examples would be the New Elder Scrolls MMO, and Battle Field 4.
Thanks in advance! (also I dont care about playing them on ultra or w/e the highest graphics are just above medium would be great for me. Mostly just looking to not have my game freeze every 10 seconds.)

You won't get a top of the line system for that kind of money but it doesn't sound like that's what you are looking for.

There is a "Build Your Own" option at the top of the Tom's HArdware home page next to the "Latest Articles" label. They have pretty good builds. But note that you still need keyboard, monitor, mouse, OS, etc. These builds are just "the box". If you already have all that then you can reuse it but if not expect to pay more for a complete system.-
