I have a gigabyte GA-H22M-S2 Mother board. I have a fresh install of Windows 7 32, and I cannot connect to the internet. I have downloaded all of the available drivers from the Gigabyte website for my MB. I have tried to find this driver on the intel site as well to no avail. Please help. I'm losing what is left of my hair!
No PCI Simple Communications Controller. Fresh install of Windows 32.

Both on the website and on the disk that came with your MB, there should be a LAN driver to install. It is called the Realtek LAN Driver.

Ok, so update. I found the correct driver. It seems the 64 bit driver was labeled incorrectly. I snagged the correct one from Gigabyte archives and now I have no more error message but the journey continues. Now I show as connected to the internet however, as soon as I get something going, even a single webpage, I get
"Connecting through WAN Miniport (PPPOE) Error 651: The modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error."
And then it tries to redial? Then it shows connected again and the after a few seconds I get the red X and back to the same. Please help.
