CPU crashing question

Hi,

I've been experimenting with overclocking for the past few week with my i7-4770k. I'm currently at 4.4Ghz on 1.245v. Been using Aida64 stress and gaming sessions to test my stability. I've been crashing a good number of times when finding the right voltage for me. Can this damage my cpu while I run stress tests or in-games?

EDIT: My temperatures are around low-mid 30s idle and around 70s or below under load

No, as long as you don't get excessive temps, you wont damage anything.

also you can try adjusting other settings aside from voltage, which will help to get a stable OC

Thanks for replying oczdude8. I'm fairly new to overclocking, what other settings should I consider tweaking to help my OC stability?
  3. check this out:http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Intel/Haswell_OC_Guide/

you can also find similar things on google, or forums.
finding one that talks about your motherboard is also really helpful
  4. Make sure you get prime95 for stability testing. It will error the program instead of crashing your system. If you need help with it lemme know.
