More about audio working front audio ports unplugging plugging noise
  1. have you hooked the front audio ports up to your motherboard properly
  2. Best answer
Check your Front Panel audio cable of your cabinet.
Then there will be 2 heads on this audio cable.
Plug the head with ALC'97 written on it.
Dont use INTEL HD AUDIO head with non-intel mobo.
The noise is produced bcoz even you dont use frontpanel ports there's always audio signals delivered to ports in ALC'97 and this problem has been solved by Hd audio.

So I unplugged and plugged it back in one more time and it finally fixed the front port problem but im still getting an unplugged and replugged in sound occasionally when I plug it in the back. sorry I dont like the hiss that the front ports make but I like knowing that they are functional. Any Ideas on the sound?
